TMFFA-T series: regenerative tilting reverberatory melting furnaces

In TMFFA-T furnaces heat reaches the metal from the flame in the combustion space above the bath and by radiation from the hot roof and walls. A regenerative burner pair stores the heat of the flue gas in ceramic ball beds and preheats the combustion air. For pouring, the furnace tilts hydraulically about the tap-out, so the pouring point does not move and the furnace can feed a casting line directly. The series currently has 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 t sizes.

How to choose the size

• Capacity: The capacity on the product pages is the liquid aluminium at ≈600 mm metal depth; the maximum up to the sill is listed separately.
• Casting line: Your casting rate and charging routine set the burner rating; each size has its own burner pair rating.

Standard on every size

• Regenerative burner pair firing in turn and our own 4-way reversing valve with a cast body.
• Hydraulic vertical-lift charging door with clamping cylinders; the sill is level with the tap-out.
• Pneumatic tap-out cover, movable immersion thermocouple, roof and regenerator measurements.
