Prices are prepared per project according to capacity, energy type and delivery terms.

HSF-25-E is a single-level electric blank heating furnace we designed for hot stamping (press hardening) lines. It heats 22MnB5 blanks (uncoated or AlSi coated) up to 2,500 mm long and 800 mm wide to the austenitising temperature of 900–950 °C; the blank is then taken out and transferred to the press. The master model of the series is a furnace we built and commissioned ourselves, working in automotive hot stamping production; the series keeps its proven door, carriage and fork mechanism and is scaled to blank length.

Loading: carriage and lifting fork

A loading carriage stands in front of the furnace on the same floor. It travels 1250 mm on linear guides, driven by a geared servo motor through rack and pinion. Its fork is lifted by a pneumatic cylinder through parallel arms and carries the blank on AISI 310S fingers. To load, the fork rises, the carriage moves in, the fork lowers and sets the blank on insulating brick supports on the furnace floor, and the carriage moves out. To unload, the fork goes in low, the fingers pass between the rows of brick supports, lift the blank and bring it out. The carriage can be detached and pulled away from the furnace front; there are no levelling feet.

Guillotine door

The door is lifted by a pneumatic cylinder through a 2:1 roller chain. Its rollers run in guide rails on the tower; the last section of the rail is inclined towards the furnace. On the way down the door moves in along this section and presses its fibre plug into the opening by itself; no separate clamping cylinder is needed. Cylinder and chain are inside an expanded-metal guard so they can be seen from outside.

Heating and insulation

Heating is from the roof with 15 U-shaped Kanthal A1 elements of 8 kW each (120 kW in total, 5 per phase). The element is the same across the series, so spare parts are common. Walls are 200 mm ceramic board plus 50 mm rock wool, the floor is insulating brick supports on board layers, and the door is fibre-module lined. At 950 °C the outer steel is ≈61 °C on the sides and ≈59 °C on the roof by calculation. Temperature is measured with duplex type S thermocouples placed between blank and elements (control and over-temperature limit); a spare thermocouple port is provided.

Panel and controls

The power and control panel is mounted on the furnace body. Element groups are driven by thyristor power controllers; control is by a PLC with a 7" touch operator panel. The panel door carries manual buttons for every movement (door, fork, carriage), automatic cycle start, phase lamps, ammeters and an emergency stop; movements and cycle steps are shown on the operator panel. Loading and unloading can also be started from the pedal control unit next to the carriage. Cables and air lines to the carriage run in an energy chain with a plug-in connection; when the carriage is detached, the plug and quick couplings separate.

Technical values come from our design and thermal calculations; capacities are for a single-blank charge and the calculated cycle time. Atmosphere control, temperature uniformity and blank distortion are confirmed in trial runs with the customer's blanks. Images are produced from the 3D design of the product.

Series

The HSF series has five models by maximum blank length: HSF-10-E (1000 mm), HSF-16-E (1600 mm), HSF-20-E (2000 mm), HSF-25-E (2500 mm) and HSF-30-E (3000 mm). The loading carriage, door mechanism and heating element are common across the models. For multi-level, robot-loaded models see the MLHSF series.

We manufacture the furnace together with the carriage, fork, panel and pneumatics, and install and commission it on site. We work with you on other blank sizes, atmosphere (dry air / nitrogen) and robot integration at quotation stage.
