SIMATIC S7-1200 SM 1222 Digital Output Module supplements the CPU's integral outputs with 8 or 16 channels, available as 24 V DC 0.5 A transistor (including an NPN sinking version), 2 A relay or changeover-contact relay. It allows the system to be expanded later with additional outputs.
