K 8 is an Üret Brülör pulverised coal burner rated 2,600–8,000 kW. This burner fires pulverised coal (70–100 micron); the coal is stored in a silo and conveyed to the burner pneumatically with automatic weighed dosing. The burner also has a gas side. Capacities are based on Turkish lignite with a calorific value of 4,000 kcal/kg.
