Nikrothal 80 Ø6.0 mm is a NiCr 80/20 (nickel-chromium), austenitic resistance heating wire. One metre has a resistance of 0.0386 Ω at 20 °C; typical use at this diameter is high-power furnaces, melting furnaces and supported (zigzag/loop) elements. Furnaces up to 1200 °C; tough and ductile when cold, easy to coil and form.

Quick calculation: for a required power P (W) at voltage U (V), the total resistance is R = U²/P and the wire length ≈ R / 0.0386 m. Contact us before ordering to select coil diameter, pitch and surface load; we can also quote ready-wound coils or complete heating elements.
Resistance, weight and surface values are calculated at 20 °C from the manufacturer's resistivity and density; resistance rises somewhat at operating temperature (Ct factor). The manufacturer datasheet prevails for exact values.
