Nikrothal 80 1.0 × 12 mm is a NiCr 80/20 (nickel-chromium), austenitic resistance heating strip. Because strip offers much more surface than wire of the same cross-section, it is preferred for wall-hung zigzag elements in high-power furnaces; one metre has a resistance of 0.0908 Ω at 20 °C. Furnaces up to 1200 °C; tough and ductile when cold, easy to coil and form.

Quick calculation: for a required power P (W) at voltage U (V), the total resistance is R = U²/P and the strip length ≈ R / 0.0908 m. Contact us before ordering about surface load and zigzag geometry. Image is representative.
Resistance, weight and surface values are calculated at 20 °C from the manufacturer's resistivity and density; resistance rises somewhat at operating temperature (Ct factor). The manufacturer datasheet prevails for exact values.
