Kanthal Super 1700 12/24 is a molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) based high-temperature heating element with a maximum element temperature of 1700 °C. General-purpose MoSi2 grade for use in oxidizing atmospheres at high temperature. It is used in laboratory, sintering, glass and ceramic furnaces at temperatures beyond the reach of metallic wires.
