Elimko TC02-1S5Z15-100 is a straight-type single-element type S (Pt%10Rh-Pt (IEC 60584)) platinum thermocouple, Ø15 mm, with 1000 mm immersion length. The high-purity alumina (KER 799) tube reaches the highest temperature among the ceramic options; suited to ceramic, glass and sintering furnaces.
Platinum thermocouples are far more stable than type K above 1200 °C, so they are used in ceramic, glass, sintering and high-temperature heat-treatment furnaces. The platinum element is sensitive to metal vapours and reducing atmospheres; the right protection tube determines its life.
