DDCBGF-FC-36000-E is an electric car bottom (shuttle) kiln with double guillotine door (pass-through), designed for firing ceramic ware. Firing volume is 36,000 litres and the working temperature is about 1300 °C. Body, car, door and control panel are derived from our production-ready CBF / CBGF car bottom furnace series: the outside size stays the same, while the insulation is thickened inwards and the heating increased for ceramic firing.
Heating and insulation
The heaters are Kanthal APM spiral wire carried on alumina tubes, on the side walls, the inside of the door and the car hearth. The door heaters are fed through spring contacts when the door closes, the hearth heaters through an automatic plug connector when the car is in; both are dead when open. The lining is 1430 °C class ceramic fibre.
Control and equipment
Temperature is measured with type S thermocouples and controlled by thyristors; this size is controlled in 3 zones (front / middle / rear). The roof has an alumina flue with a motorised butterfly damper, the rear wall adjustable air inlets and the side wall peepholes. The car carries a SiC kiln furniture set (batts + props).

Our car bottom ceramic kilns come in three door types (CBF-FC hinged, CBGF-FC guillotine, DDCBGF-FC double guillotine pass-through) and six sizes: 1,600, 2,900, 4,300, 8,900, 18,000 and 36,000 litres. The number in the code is the firing volume in litres.
We manufacture the kiln together with the car, rails, kiln furniture and control panel, and install and commission it on site. The firing curve and setting layout are defined for your ware at quotation stage.
