BAFFA-04-E is an electrically heated basket aging furnace for aging aluminium castings and parts in baskets (T5/T6). It takes 4 baskets (1 wide × 2 high × 2 deep); net load is 300 kg per basket, 1,200 kg net per charge. The series is derived from our own aging furnace working in the field and grows on the same basket module.
Continuous work with two basket sets
A rail-mounted loading car in front of the furnace drives the baskets in, sets them down on the furnace skids with a hydraulic lift and takes them back out when the cycle ends. Two basket sets work in turn: while one set is aging in the furnace, the other is unloaded and reloaded on the waiting stands, so the furnace never stands empty.
Vertical-lift door
The door lifts vertically on a counterweighted chain drive; as it comes down, ramps in the guides press it against the furnace opening. No side clearance is needed for the door.
Air circulation and heating
Roof-mounted circulation fans (1) drive the air over the electric heater banks in the side walls and through the internal air ducts between the baskets; radiation plates screen the heaters from the parts. Heater and fan cassettes can be removed and refitted from the roof.
Access and controls
The roof platform has railings and a ladder, giving access to fans and heaters from above. Compact rear-bracket panel and radio remote control handle the door, car and lift movements and the furnace cycle.
